Deaf Fest 2025 Showcasing the Talents of the Deaf Community

The nation’s biggest celebration of Deaf culture, history, and will be held at Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park, on Saturday 30 August.

Free to attend, Deaf Fest 2025 features a lineup of Deaf performers, Deaf businesses, and Deaf-led workshops to displays the talents of the Deaf community. Volunteer communication assistants will be on the ground to facilitate conversations between Auslan and English.

‘Deaf Connect has a longstanding history with Deaf Festival in New South Wales, and it’s been a privilege to keep supporting this ongoing celebration of Deaf pride and community spirit as the Platinum Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year,’ says Deaf Connect Chief Executive Officer, Brett Casey. Deaf Connect is the chief organiser of the festival.

This year, festival headliners include Deaf performer Martha Rundell, international acts by Deaf artists Javier Guisado Martin, a Spanish performer, and Florian Tirnovan, a Swedish stand-up comedian.

Young people and families will be engaged by an Auslan Storytime session courtesy of the City of Ryde Council, as well as Art Sessions with talented artists Sue Jo Wright and Gonketa.
