From Monday 22 December, Ku-ring-gai Council’s Vacation Care kicks off, offering a program filled with arts and crafts, games, sports, STEM workshops, and excursions.
Vacation Care for 4-12-year-olds includes gingerbread making, magic shows, K-Pop discos, music, Lego workshops, and excursions to bowling, laser tag, movies, and ice skating.
Children aged 6-12 can immerse themselves in the outdoors at the Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden in St Ives. Activities range from survival skills, camping and cooking, and dinosaur adventures, to nature art, animal encounters, and junior ecologist programs. Dates span from 22 December through 23 January, offering themed experiences almost daily.
At the Ku-ring-gai Art Centre in Roseville, workshops including painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, tea blending, and creative writing will be hosted. Programs cater to a wide range of ages, from 5-year-olds up to teens, including specialised classes like wheel throwing and Young Archies preparation.
Ku-ring-gai Library is hosting construction play for younger children, and Dungeons & Dragons sessions for children and teens across the St Ives, Lindfield, Gordon, and Turramurra libraries.
Active Ku-ring-gai Kids Sports Clinics will offer junior and intermediate golf clinics in mid- to late January.
