Glen Street Theatre has announced an expansive program for the 2026 season, featuring drama, comedy, music, dance, children’s theatre, and special events. Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said Glen Street Theatre is more than just a venue for the arts.
‘Glen Street Theatre is the beating heart of our local creative community,’ she said. ‘It’s a place where people come together, are inspired, and share unforgettable experiences. The 2026 season promises something for everyone—from thought-provoking drama and side-splitting comedy to vibrant music and family shows.’
The upcoming program balances crowd favourites with contemporary reinventions, beginning with a bold new staging of Shakespeare’s The Tempest by Come You Spirits Theatre Company. Later in the year, Jonathan Biggins returns with The Gospel According to Paul—The Second Coming, a political satire.
Comedy fans can expect another sell-out when the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow returns in June. Music lovers will find a series of tribute shows celebrating Queen, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beatles, and The Everly Brothers.
With an emphasis on accessibility, community connection, and artistic excellence, Glen Street Theatre’s 2026 program positions the venue to remain a cornerstone of the Northern Beaches arts scene for years to come.
