Artists from Greater Sydney are being invited to showcase their talent in Ku-ring-gai Council’s 2025 Urban Murals program.
Two large-scale artworks will be commissioned at Roseville Chase and Bicentennial Park in West Pymble, with this year’s theme highlighting the region’s creeks, waterways and the biodiversity they support. Entrants are encouraged to submit mural concepts that reflect the unique plants and animals of Ku-ring-gai’s ecosystems.
Applications will be reviewed by a judging panel made up of Council staff and local arts and culture representatives. The two selected artists will receive commissions to complete their works by December 2025.
Mayor Christine Kay said that the program continues to transform public spaces while encouraging environmental appreciation.
“Now in its third year, Urban Murals is making our community areas more vibrant and engaging,” Kay said. “Past murals at Lindfield Village Green, the Wildflower Garden visitor centre and St Ives Showground have been fantastic additions. I look forward to seeing new works that celebrate and protect our waterways.”
Applications close Friday, 3rd of October. Find details and entry forms here
