In a milestone moment, VIEW Clubs have marked their 65th anniversary.
VIEW (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) Clubs were founded in 1960 by The Smith Family at a time when many community and service clubs were still restricted to men. The organisation offered women a new pathway to contribute to charitable work, advocacy, and education-focused initiatives.
Today there are over 13,000 VIEW members.
This year, Australia’s two longest running chapters, the Parramatta and Pennant Hills VIEW Clubs, celebrated their shared anniversary with a Sapphire Blue–themed luncheon at the Baulkham Hills Sports Club.
Ninety members from both clubs attended the October 2025 event, joined by the VIEW National Manager, representatives from The Smith Family, and local members of parliament.
VIEW Clubs have helped provide financial support to 1,800 Learning for Life students in need across Australia.
The VIEW Clubs celebrating their 65th anniversary serves as a reminder of the vital role community-led action continues to play in supporting the education and wellbeing of young Australians.
